CHAPTER 8

Turner

Alpha Jackson Turner sat at the table waiting for his men to return from their scouting mission to the wolf packs land that Tom’s daughter had gone to. He had rented this house close to their land so they could figure out the best way to get Julie out without having to fight. A big cat could take one maybe two wolves and win but five against a whole pack were not good. I heard a car pull up and stop, four doors opened and shut. They were laughing as they entered the house, but pull up and stopped as they saw me watching them.

“Peter what have you found out about the pack?” I asked,

“Well they have quite a large estate, there is a fence around the whole perimeter,” Peter, my beta said.

Naz couldn’t hold in his chuckle, I turned and shot Naz a hard look,

“What’s so funny,” I asked sharply. Naz stood up strait and answered,

“Well we,” he stopped to ponder before continuing, “Um… we accidently drove through fence on the north side of the property.”

“You bunch of blithering idiots,” I stopped mid-sentence looking thoughtful.

“That could work to our advantage, who was driving?” The three other men pointed to forth, which was Kyle, my Third.

“Well seen as you started this, you can stand guard to see how long it all takes for them to find and fix the hole in the fence.” Kyle sighed, turned and went to wait and watch what happened.

I turned to the others and asked,

“So what did you find out after driving through the fence?”

“Tom lied to you about his daughter,” Peter the beta said.

“In want way did he lie?” I asked.

“Well he said that she couldn’t shift but we saw a white lynx running with a wolf through the forest,” Peter said.

“How do you know that it was her?” I asked.

“Well they um… changed to speak. I will say that he didn’t lie about her appearance except that more beautiful and not stick thin either,” Peter answered.

“Well that’s an added bonus to the fact that she has found her cat. Did you hear what they said when they changed?” I asked. Naz smirked and said,

“They didn’t really do much talking”. Turner growled and Naz dropped the smirk.

“So she’s mated with one of those wolves, well we’ll cause some trouble so they will want to get rid of her to stop the problems,” Turner said looking thoughtful.

“They run a whisky company, so if we cause enough problems with that it will cost them money and they we will step in and they’ll let us take the girl off their hands without a fight.”

Kyle

The next morning Turner sent Naz to relieve me, as he reach me there was some activity across the way at the fence.

“How long has this been going on?” Naz asked whispering.

“About an hour, I was going to head back in about half an hour to tell the Alpha what’s been happening,” I said. We stayed hidden and watch for about half an hour then slowly moved further back and headed back to the house where their Alpha was.
